Aerial Mapping Drones with RTK, Photogrammetry and LiDAR Payloads

The Flyby F-11 Series is an aerial mapping drone with dual RTK GNSS, hardware shutter control and swappable payloads for photogrammetry, LiDAR and multispectral surveys. Made in El Segundo, California.

Centimeter-level accuracy with built-in RTK

The F-11 Series has on-board dual-band RTK GPS geotagging with rapid direct hardware shutter control, enabling high-precision 3D mapping and modeling with centimeter-level accuracy.

  • Dual RTK 1 cm + 1 ppm (horizontal) position accuracy.
  • NEO-F9P module with L1/L5 GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo bands.
  • 56 minutes of hover time with dual hot-swappable batteries for larger sites.

Mapping payloads

  • Sony LR1: 60MP full-frame mirrorless camera for photogrammetry.
  • RESEPI LiDAR: 3D point cloud mapping system.
  • MicaSense RedEdge-P: high-resolution multispectral and RGB sensor.
  • Gremsy VIO: 640p FLIR thermal with 4K 20x zoom camera.

The Flyby Payload SDK makes it simple to integrate new sensors and trigger snapshots at programmed intervals for photogrammetry missions.

Plan missions with Flyby Mapping

With Flyby Mapping you can automate mission planning on the controller: draw a boundary and the app generates a serpentine waypoint path, or load your own KML files. Follow our walkthrough on how to use Flyby Mapping on the F-11.

Frequently asked questions

What positioning accuracy do the F-11 mapping drones have?

The F-11 Series has dual RTK GNSS with 1 cm + 1 ppm horizontal accuracy and dual-band RTK geotagging with direct hardware shutter control, enabling centimeter-level 3D mapping and modeling.

Can the F-11 carry a LiDAR payload?

Yes. The F-11 Series supports payloads including the RESEPI LiDAR 3D point cloud mapping system, a 60MP full-frame camera and the MicaSense RedEdge-P multispectral sensor.

How long can the F-11 fly on a mapping mission?

Up to 56 minutes of hover time, with dual hot-swappable batteries so you can keep flying between sorties.

Photogrammetry or LiDAR: which should I use?

It depends on terrain, vegetation and deliverables. Our article on photogrammetry versus LiDAR walks through how to choose.
